Visions and values

Our Ethos & Values

Hamworthy Park Junior School is federated with Twin Sails Infant School.  We are very lucky to have a committed team of people who work very hard to ensure that all children make at least good progress in their learning. We place great importance around Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education. This underpins our rich and varied education through a creative curriculum so that we develop the whole child, preparing them for their future. In our federation every child really does matter:

Every Child, Every Day, Every Possibility

At Hamworthy Park Junior School we aim to develop the children's ability to be resilient in their learning and social life, with the capacity to be resourceful and dedicated to their learning. Our five main educational values are:

Resilient, Resourceful, Reflective, Respectful and Responsible

Houses & House Points

House points form our whole school reward system here at Hamworthy Park Junior School. It encourages a team ethos across the school and allows children of all ages to have a common goal. Every child from Year 3 to Year 6 is sorted into one of our four houses:

Lulworth (Yellow)

Studland (Green)

Brownsea (Red)

Arne (Blue)

House Points are given out as a recognition of achievement by individual children, as well as for demonstrating our educational values: Resilient, Resourceful, Reflective, Respectful and Responsible.

"This year we have introduced some new workshops to explore what 'Anti Bullying Week' means to us as a school. We looked at how random acts of kindness can bring a smile to peoples faces and how important it is to recognise our strengths and all the things that make us unique and awesome!
