“I love this school because it has a wide variety of things to do. ” Logan Yr 6

Sunflower Day - June 2019

On Friday 21st June, our School Council organised a charity fund-raising event for our local hospice, Forest Holme. Everyone was invited to wear yellow for the day, which coincided with the hospice’s logo – the sunflower. During the same week, each pupil sowed a sunflower seed, which was taken home in a pot to germinate and grow. The School Council’s assembly that day invited Mrs Kirsty Perks and Charlie, staff members of the hospice, to share some of their amazing experiences and valuable work they do there at Forest Holme.

We are delighted to announce that at present approximately £270 has been raised so far, which will be presented to the hospice by our School Council.
