Y5/6 Football Match v Lytchett Matravers Primary School

On Friday 9th November, HPJS hosted Lytchett Matravers Primary School in our second PEDSSA football match of the week. It was an excellent game between two teams who displayed great effort and sportsmanship in extremely challenging conditions! Despite the very strong winds, Hamworthy played some brilliant football in the first half and went into the break with a 2-1 lead. With the heavens opening, conditions became even trickier in the second half. However, HPJS continued to try and play good football on the floor and showed many moments of composure, calmness and good decision making. HPJS finished the game strongly with a third goal. HPJS now progress onto the next round of PEDSSA Football. We’re excited to see which schools we’ll be facing next! All the boys involved should be really proud of their efforts. Thank you to everyone who came and supported the team in the horrible conditions!! Final Score HPJS 3 – 1 Lytchett Matravers.

"This year we have introduced some new workshops to explore what 'Anti Bullying Week' means to us as a school. We looked at how random acts of kindness can bring a smile to peoples faces and how important it is to recognise our strengths and all the things that make us unique and awesome!
