Football Tournaments at Carter Community School 01/11/18

On Thursday 1st November, a group of Year 5/6 boys attending a regional football tournament at Carter Community School. All the players should be really proud of their efforts as well as many moments of excellent football. HPJS recorded an impressive 1-0 win in their first match against Ocean Academy.

Unfortunately, they narrowly lost their second match against Broadstone Middle School, 1-0. After progressing from their group and then moving into the Semi-Final, they faced Baden Powell & St Peters Junior School. In a game where it could have gone either way, both teams showed good football and sportsmanship. Unfortunately, HPJS lost this very tight game 1-0. A huge thank you to everyone for supporting the team. Another great effort by all players involved.

"This year we have introduced some new workshops to explore what 'Anti Bullying Week' means to us as a school. We looked at how random acts of kindness can bring a smile to peoples faces and how important it is to recognise our strengths and all the things that make us unique and awesome!
