“The teachers are kind and friendly. All the students are positive and kind. ” Phoebe Yr 4

Welcome to Hamworthy Park Junior School

EVERY CHILD, EVERY DAY, EVERY POSSIBILITY

We are a friendly, welcoming, hard working and happy school, who provide opportunities for all our pupils to make the best possible progress and attain the highest personal achievements whilst at our school.

Our core values are: Resilient, Resourceful, Reflective, Respectful and Responsible. These carry through to all of our school activities. As well as providing an exciting, full and varied curriculum, we offer a wealth of extra-curricular activities to enhance and enrich your child’s time at our school.

We believe that school should be a safe, secure and happy place. Above all, however, we are passionate that learning should be fun! When our children leave us, we hope they will take away a life long love of learning that will enable every one of them to be successful in the ever changing world in which we live.

In September 2015 Hamworthy Park Junior School federated with Twin Sails Infant School & Nursery.  Together we are known as the Harbour View Federation.  In September 2016 we gained Academy status under the dynamic Hamwic Education Trust.  Futhermore, both federated schools were graded as GOOD in their most recent Ofsted inspections - Hamworthy Park Junior School's last inspection was June 2019.

Please use this site to find out more about our school and our values, but the best way to appreciate our school is to come along and visit us. We would be proud to show you around so that you can see us in action.

"This year we have introduced some new workshops to explore what 'Anti Bullying Week' means to us as a school. We looked at how random acts of kindness can bring a smile to peoples faces and how important it is to recognise our strengths and all the things that make us unique and awesome!
